SRAM is conducting a recall of forks for the purpose of replacing the lower legs (housing)
The affected forks are of these two models with serial numbers between 02T95514009 and 08T96214665 and lower legs (housing) marked with the casting label '18' and 'O' or '19' and 'A'.
The manufacturer of cycling components SRAM announces a voluntary recall of cycling forks Rock Shox LYRIK 29’’ Boost and YARI 29’’ Boost from the 2019 model year.
The affected forks are of these two models with serial numbers between 02T95514009 and 08T96214665 and lower legs (housing) marked with the casting label '18' and 'O' or '19' and 'A'. The serial number is located on the back of the fork bridge (see picture!). The casting label can be seen on the back of the fork bridge as shown. Lyrik and Yari forks with serial numbers outside this range, other casting labels, or forks sized 27.5’’ are not subject to this recall. Most of the forks involved in this recall are factory-installed (OEM) on bicycles. No other products from RockShox are included in this recall.
The lower legs of these forks do not provide the expected long-term performance.
ACTION BY CUSTOMERS: SRAM is conducting a recall of the mentioned forks for the purpose of replacing the lower legs (housing).
RESOLUTION: Dealers/servicers who find any forks subject to this recall (Rock Shox Yari or Lyrik 29’’ 2019) with the above-mentioned serial numbers and casting labels should return the forks to their regional SRAM service point for a free replacement of the lower leg (housing).
Customers who find a fork with a serial number between 02T95514009 and 08T96214665 and lower legs (housing) marked with the casting label '18' and 'O' or '19' and 'A' should immediately contact their dealer, who will arrange everything to complete the recall process with the replacement of the fork's lower leg.
